Funding options.
Private health insurance for appropriate level of cover
Rebates are available through private health insurance if you have an appropriate level of cover. Physiotherapy services tend to be an added extras option on your policy and coverage with different insurance providers can vary. We will provide you with an invoice after full payment is made and this can be used to claim money back from your private health fund. Please check with your private health insurance provider before attending so that you know how much they will pay for your visit and what the gap will be that you are left to pay.
Medicare rebate for chronic disease management plan
We accept Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans. A chronic condition is generally considered a problem or condition that your child has either had for longer than 6 months, or is likely to last more than 6 months. To be eligible, 2 or more health practitioners must be caring for your child in addition to your GP ( eg. specialist, surgeon, dietician or other allied health professional). Speak to your GP about these requirements, as your child will need to qualify to be eligible. If your GP has assessed your child to be eligible, then paperwork can be completed by your GP for a Chronic Disease Management plan to entitle your child to 5 allied health appointments during a calendar year. We will provide you with an invoice after full payment is made and this can be used by you to claim money from Medicare for a rebate of around $52.95 (subject to change as per Medicare's guidelines) back from your physiotherapy consultation fees. Call Medicare for the most up to date rebate amounts. We encourage families to keep track of how many sessions they have claimed using their plan. You will still be required to pay the gap between the medicare rebate and our fee.

National disability insurance scheme (NDIS)
If you have NDIS funding that is "Self-Managed" or "Plan-Managed" then you can use your funding to access Baby Wise Physiotherapy services. However, if your NDIS plan is "NDIA-Managed" then unfortunately you are unable to use your funding for our services (as we are not currently a registered NDIS provider).
